- Released in 2005, the Breguet Tradition Collection pays tribute to the legacy of Abraham-Louis Breguet. One of the most eminent figures in the history of watchmaking and known as the father of modern watchmaking, Breguet is known for his horological achievements from introducing gongs for repeating watches to developing the tourbillon.
- Taking inspiration from the movement architecture of Breguet’s Souscription watches of the late 18th century, the Tradition displays the magnificent movement through the semi-skeletonized dial, exposing the frosted baseplate and bridges, heat-blued screws, red rubies and golden gear trains. Once powered, the movement is a marvel to behold.
- The iconic Breguet-style main dial takes centre stage at the 12 o’clock. It is embellished with classic Clous de Paris guilloche and brushed silver outer ring, beneath the blued Breguet hands on top. A power reserve indication of up to 50 hours is discreetly positioned on the upper left of dial, interestingly also visible from the back of the watch through the transparent case back.
- Supremely elegant and mesmerising, the present example Breguet Tradition ref. 7027 in white gold from circa 2006 is offered with its full set of accessories and is further preserved in excellent overall condition.
- Please note that the proceeds of the sale of the present watch will be given by the Consignor to various charities.
